Keep ticketing and charging separate
Admission lines need to keep moving. Place the station near the entrance or coat check, but outside the ticket queue, so a visitor can start a rental without holding up the line.
The phone stays useful in the galleries
With a rented power bank, the visitor keeps their phone for the audio guide, the map, and photos while it charges. Nothing is left at a wall outlet. The rental guide explains the visitor's side.
Docents stay on the tour
Docents and visitor services staff never hand out power banks, hold phones, or take returns. Their only job is to point to the station.
A return point visitors can reach at closing
Place the station on the visitor's side of the admission barrier, so someone leaving at closing can return a power bank without re-entering. Visitors can also return to any Juiceboxx station. The return guide covers the details.
Which sites fit best
Museums, historic sites, aquariums, and science centers where visitors spend an hour or more and use their phones for tickets, audio guides, and photos. Sites with timed entry and a single exit are especially straightforward, because the return point is easy to place.
What hosting costs
Nothing. Juiceboxx supplies, installs, and services the station, and your site earns commission under a hosting agreement. Visitors pay for their own rentals in the app: $2 for each 30 minutes, capped at $12 per 24-hour day.
What to send us
Your typical daily visitors, average visit length, a floor plan showing the entrance and exit, and your opening hours. With that, we can recommend a spot that works for both rentals and returns.
The screen and the footprint
Agree on the spot and on how the station screen is used before installation. Hosting is free, and your museum earns commission. The venue cost page explains the economics.
