One phone carries the whole event
At most events, the phone does everything: the QR code at the gate, the set times, the group chat, the card for the next round, and the ride home at 11:40. Pew Research Center's 2025 survey found that 97% of U.S. adults aged 18 to 29, and 96% of those aged 30 to 49, own a smartphone.
When a phone dies at 9 p.m., you lose the set times, your friends, and your ride all at once. The goal is simple: keep it working until the ride arrives.
Why crowds drain batteries
Thousands of phones compete for the same few cell towers, and a phone on a weak, crowded signal uses more power to stay connected. The screen stays bright for photos and chats. Video and the flash are heavy work too, so someone filming whole songs runs out long before someone who is not.
That is why a power bank in your pocket at 10 p.m. is worth more than an outlet you might reach at midnight.
What a rental costs
A rental is $2 for each 30 minutes, capped at $12 per 24-hour day, so an event that runs late has a ceiling. A $20 hold on your card is released when you return the power bank.
A power bank holds a fixed amount of charge. If you charge with the screen on and the camera running, some of that power goes straight to the screen. Dim it while you charge and the battery goes further.
How to rent
Find a station on the app map, scan the QR code, and take a charged power bank. It has built-in cables, so plug in and keep the phone with you. There is no counter and no line with staff. The app guide walks through each screen.

Tips for a long event
Arrive with a full charge if you can. Turn on low power mode early. Dim the screen and close the map once you are inside. Take photos rather than long videos. And rent a power bank before you are in the red, while you still have enough battery to scan the station.
Plan the return as part of the route
Gates close and venues lock up, so do not leave the return for after the encore. Drop the power bank at a station you pass on the way in or on the walk to your ride.
