Stations plus an app
Juiceboxx is a family-owned South Carolina business led by Andrew Crisp. The network is made of charging stations placed inside local venues, and the Juiceboxx app that finds them and runs every rental.
The station
Each station sits inside a host venue, like a bowling alley or a gym. It stores and charges power banks, and it has a screen that shows rental information and local messages.
The app, step by step
Open the app to see stations on a map. At the station, scan the QR code and a charged power bank unlocks. The app guide walks through each screen.
The charge
The power bank has built-in cables, so you plug in and keep your phone with you while it charges. Nothing is left at a wall or behind a counter.
The return
Return the power bank to any Juiceboxx station, wherever you rented it, within 48 hours. The return guide covers the details.
The price
$2 for each 30 minutes, capped at $12 per 24-hour day. A $20 card hold is released when the power bank comes back.
Who the network serves
Guests get a way to charge without leaving the fun. Venues get a free amenity that keeps guests longer and earns commission, with nothing for staff to run. Local businesses get a screen in the rooms where their customers spend time. And local partners can help bring stations to the venues they know.
How it compares to charging lockers
Charging lockers keep your phone locked in a box while it charges. Juiceboxx keeps your phone in your hand. You can answer calls, pay the tab, and keep up with the group while the power bank does its job.
Where it is live
Stations are live today at Paradise Lanes Bowling Alley in Spartanburg and Total Fitness Family Center in Piedmont. We are placing new stations across 25 South Carolina markets, including Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach. The app always has the current list.
